Ninety per cent of an interior designer's work is analysis, measurement, technical comparison and selection. Only a small part genuinely requires being physically in the room — and that part can be codified into a properly executed survey.
Measurements first, then layout, then style. Starting from a mood board builds an image; starting from the survey builds a home. The two meet, but not in the reverse order.
Some things a screen doesn't convey, and we would rather say so before taking a deposit.
On these points we work alongside your own trusted technician, or a professional we work with and can point you to. Our role is to coordinate with them and take what they say into the design, with a dedicated technical call included from the Full furnishing design package upwards.
Each stage closes with a document and a decision. We do not move on until the previous stage is approved by you in writing.
Short and free of charge. You tell us what home you have, what problem you want solved and on what timescale; we tell you whether working online is the right format for your case and which package we would start from. It is there to understand the project and to update the quote against real numbers rather than a generic price list. No obligation to continue, and if we think we aren't the right professionals for you, we say so here.
This is the in-depth, paid version of the call: €90. We look together at the photographs and plan you have, discuss who lives in the home, how it is actually used and what you can spend. You leave with a written design direction, a report and a tailored quote. This stage can be bought on its own, with no obligation to continue.
We send the survey kit: forms to fill in, a measuring guide, a list of the eighteen photographs we need, and instructions for a video walkthrough. Then we review it together on a short verification call: if a figure doesn't add up, we remeasure before going further.
We return the dimensioned plan and two or three alternative arrangements, each with advantages, trade-offs and budget impact. We discuss them together on a call, and one route emerges, approved.
Mood board, palette and materials schedule. There is a single indicative proposal, built on the price band agreed together. For every item we give the code, manufacturer and format, so you can request the sample from the retailer and see it in your own light.
Final dimensioned drawings, lighting and socket plan, renders of the key views, complete shopping list with real prices and links. Two revision rounds included. If something goes out of production or has an impossible lead time, we substitute an equivalent ourselves.
We stay reachable to read the quotes you receive, check order confirmations and resolve fitters' questions. On request we manage orders, lead times and returns directly: that is the purchasing management service, quoted separately.
This is where 90% of online design packages bought off the internet fail. Here is exactly what we ask for, and why.
Measure at 100 cm above floor level, not at the skirting. Record each wall separately, clockwise, starting from the entrance door.
Corner to opposite corner. These reveal out-of-square: if the two diagonals differ, the room is not rectangular — and it almost never is.
Centre and two opposite corners. In 1960s–70s buildings, differences of 2–3 cm are common; with a floor-to-ceiling wardrobe that becomes a problem.
Width, height, distance from corners, reveal depth, sill height, door and window swing direction, and the space taken by open leaves.
Radiators (with distance from floor and wall), columns, beams, flues, bulkheads, niches, blind boxes.
Sockets, switches, light points, TV and data outlets, valves, drains and supply points: X-Y position measured from the nearest corner, not "roughly halfway along the wall".
Type, laying direction, tile or board format, skirting height and profile. This determines whether and how you can intervene without replacing everything.
All in landscape, in natural daylight, without filters and without your phone's extreme wide angle.
A laser distance meter costing €25–35 makes the survey three times faster and far more accurate than a tape measure. A rigid tape and a second person work fine too. If you have an iPhone or iPad with LiDAR, a scanning app gives us an excellent starting point — but we still double-check the key dimensions by hand.
Send it: it's a useful starting reference, but never reliable to the centimetre. Cadastral dimensions come from old surveys and ignore plaster, dry-lining and internal insulation. The survey still has to be done.
Prices below are per room and vary with the floor area, excluding VAT. They are the same on a video call and in person: only the way the survey is gathered changes. For multiple rooms the sliding scale on the pricing page applies. No cost appears after signing.
Fifteen or twenty minutes on a video call, at no cost and with no obligation. You tell us about the project, we look at the space, the timeline and the budget together, and from there we update the quote against your real case. Only afterwards, if it makes sense, do you choose one of the packages below. The €90 orientation call is a different thing: 45 minutes, a review of your plan and photographs, and a written report at the end.

Above 120 m² there is no step change: you start from the last band's price and the rate applies only to the square metres above it. For several separate rooms the sliding discount in the full price list applies. You can move up from the Floor-plan consultation to the Full furnishing design later, paying only the difference.

The combination we most often recommend to clients in the Verona area: a single initial site visit for the survey and technical checks, then the rest of the project by video call. You keep the accuracy of a site visit and the speed of remote working.
A couple who have just collected the keys, a defined budget and no furniture. The value of online consultation here is entirely in the sequence of purchases: what to buy now, what can wait six months, what you should never buy twice.
Work has started, the builder wants decisions every two days and there is no interior design. We step in urgently with the lighting and socket plan, which is the most pressing and the hardest decision to correct later.
Kitchen, bathroom or living area. The Floor-plan consultation is often enough to settle how the space works; the Full furnishing design adds materials, lighting, renders and a shopping list. It is the format with the best result-to-spend ratio.
Italian or international owners furnishing a second home in Bardolino, Lazise or Torri remotely. We manage orders and deliveries, and if needed we can be on site: we are half an hour away.
Different constraints apply here: durability, maintenance, photogenic quality and cost per sleeping place. We optimise for yield, not for the owner's personal taste.
No software to install, no subscriptions, no technical skills.
The deliverables are identical. Two things change: who takes the measurements — you, guided by us, rather than us on site — and site presence, which remote work does not include. On price, the packages cost the same in both formats: working in person simply adds the site visit.
That's what the verification call before drawing is for: we cross-check dimensions against the diagonals and the photographs, and inconsistencies almost always surface there. If an error emerges later, we correct the drawings at no extra cost — it's a risk of the method, not a failing on your part.
No. The introductory call is short — fifteen or twenty minutes — and free: it is there to understand the project, clarify the space, timeline and budget, and update the quote for your case. No charge, no obligation to continue.
If you want more than a mutual introduction, there is the €90 orientation call: 45 minutes, a critical review of your plan and photographs and a written report. It is self-contained, and if you continue within 30 days the €90 is deducted from the package you choose.
Two rounds for the Floor-plan consultation and two for the Full furnishing design, unlimited within the contract period on whole-home projects. A revision is a change request to a delivered document; changing direction entirely after the layout has been approved is a new stage, and is quoted before being carried out.
No. We have no kickback arrangements with brands or retailers and no interest in steering you towards one product over another. When we obtain a trade discount, we pass it on to you in full and state it on the invoice.
The service is designed for and focused on Northern Italy because we know the suppliers, craftspeople, lead times and prices of this area, and much of the value we add lives there. For the rest of Italy or abroad we assess case by case on a call: we can work well on the design, less so on the local supply chain, and we prefer to say so upfront.
After the first delivery you have the included revisions to steer it back. In practice, serious misalignment is avoided by approving the layout first and the concept second. If after the layout stage you feel we are not understanding each other, you can stop and pay only for the stages completed: what you have already received remains yours, source files included.
Yes. On delivery and full payment, the documents are yours and you can use them with whoever you like: a joiner, a builder, another designer. We only ask that you don't redistribute them as someone else's commercial material.
